The Villages

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Villages Downtown Center project was a sitework and utilities project including the Water
Tower, the Electric Creek, and The Locks.

SERVICES PROVIDED:
The project consisted of the design and engineering of an electric canal system connecting an
original lake and a mandated, elevated lake that can flow year round. An underground water
system was built in which water could flow year round, and locks were developed to contain and
control water flow and create a realistic effect of flowing water. Creativity in the walls of the lake,
a waterfront view and walkway around the waters edge, and a 100 year old barn re-created to
become an authentic covered bridge, truly made this a unique project.
